Patient Testimonials – Nerve Adjustment Cases

Authenticity Matters

It truly means a lot when patients are willing to share their experiences. Testimonials carry weight because they come from real people, and they help others feel more confident when making decisions. Since not many are willing to open up about their past experiences, each contribution stands out even more — adding authenticity and reassurance that no amount of polished marketing can replace.

Crooked Mouth Cases

One patient developed a crooked mouth at the age of 9. After graduating from college, he began acupuncture treatment. It took 33 sessions to gradually adjust the nerve back to its normal position. The journey required patience and commitment, but in the end, every effort proved worthwhile.

Among the youngest cases, a 4‑year‑old girl had been suffering from crooked mouth for just one week. With careful acupuncture, it took only 4 sessions to adjust her nerve back to normal. Although her photo cannot be shared here, her recovery remains a meaningful reminder of how early intervention and gentle treatment can bring swift results.

Bell’s Palsy Cases

A patient in early 40s many years ago, whom was struck about 2 weeks, I used 15 sessions to resolve his issue. For Bell’s palsy, some of these cases required about 15 sessions, while others needed 20 sessions or more to gradually restore nerve function. Although I regret that I cannot share their photos, their journeys highlight the importance of patience and persistence. Each recovery story serves as encouragement that with consistent treatment, meaningful improvement is possible.

Conclusion

If you are facing this issue, the earlier you begin treatment, the less time and cost you will spend. In contrast, the longer you wait and the older you are, the more sessions and expense are usually required. The good news is that there is a solution. However, we give you no guarantee — every patient’s journey is unique, and outcomes depend on individual conditions, age, and commitment to the process.

Suffering from Side Effects of Pneumonia:

  • talking extremely slow

  • movement was slow

  • unstable when walking

  • writing slow

  • nausea

Patient Testimonial

Thank you to this patient for being willing to share her photo. She and her spouse told me about her life experience of narrowly escaping death during pneumonia.

After her very first acupuncture session, she discovered something unexpected — she was able to write faster. The improvement amazed her and gave her confidence in the process. Sometimes, even small changes can feel extraordinary, and her experience shows how acupuncture may bring surprising benefits beyond what patients initially expect.

A few weeks later, her life returned to normal again. She regained ease in movement, her talking speed improved, and walking felt natural once more. Her journey reflects how persistence and trust in the healing process can restore everyday abilities and bring back quality of life.

Today, she is a proud mother of two. Sunshine returned after the rain, blessing her with renewed strength and joy.

Symptoms of Patient:

  • shortness of breath

  • palpitation in sleep

  • hard getting into sleep

  • easily space out

  • numbness limbs

  • hand started shivering

Patient Testimonial – Commitment to Healing

He came together with his spouse. When I looked at him, he was so sorrowful and kept asking me if he could recover. He had been suffering from sleeping issues for three months. As usual, we explained that acupuncture or any medical service cannot give anyone a guarantee. What matters most is starting treatment immediately and continuing with persistence.

I told him clearly: if he gives up after only a few sessions, it is not going to work. Whether the issue is crooked mouth, nerve problems, internal conditions, or lumps, recovery only comes with commitment and consistency.

The more time you postpone, the worse the scenario becomes, because chronic issues often begin as common, smaller problems. We did not listen to our body, we did not foresee the symptoms it was giving us — and so the trouble grew bigger. His story is a reminder that listening early, acting promptly, and staying committed are the keys to healing.

After 13 sessions, the patient was able to sleep again. His hands no longer trembled, he no longer experienced shortness of breath, and he stopped spacing out. Although his condition had not yet reached full stability, the improvement gave him hope.

Later, when he travelled to another place, the scenario returned during a two‑week quarantine in the MCO period. After this setback, he came back to see me again. Fortunately, another 10 sessions were enough to bring everything back to normal.

A few years have passed since MCO, and many things have changed. Every year, he continues to visit me once or twice just to maintain his body health. Today, he can sleep well every night. His journey shows that healing is not always a straight line — persistence, timely care, and regular follow‑ups can help maintain stability and restore quality of life.

Insomnia Cases

In my past experience, I have also treated patients with long‑standing insomnia. Some of them had been struggling with sleeping issues for more than 20 or even 30 years.

One memorable case was a 60‑year‑old lady who had suffered from sleep problems for 30 years. According to her, even though her husband’s friend could sleep for a whole day after taking a strong dosage of relaxing pills, the same medication did not help her. Instead of sleeping, she kept on crying. For three decades, her mind remained awake all night until the next morning, when she went jogging. With treatment, she was finally able to reset her body clock and return to restful sleep.

However, there were two 50‑year‑old men — one who had suffered for 22 years and another for a few years — who were unable to achieve the same results. The reason was not the treatment itself, but the lack of commitment and persistence.

This is sincere advice: for people who have been suffering for many years, please do not expect the issue to be fixed within 10 sessions or less. If you have been suffering for 10 years, why not try at least 20 to 30 sessions? Who knows — it may truly solve your problem for the rest of your life. And usually, to tackle this issue, we need to give prescriptions tailored to the patient’s condition.

Whether the issues stem from stress, family matters, lifestyle, or dietary habits, once you make the decision to seek help, you must commit and proceed with consistency. Healing requires patience, dedication, and trust in the process.

Symptoms of Patient:

  • numbness hand

  • head numbness

  • stomach numbness

Patient Testimonial – Pre‑Stroke Case

Acupuncture can be highly effective when started early. This case involved a pre‑stroke issue: the patient suddenly felt numbness in her arms and head.

Normally, for pre‑stroke cases that have just struck, we do not require many sessions. Furthermore, she was young, which contributed to a faster response. The photo above shows her condition on the first day before acupuncture, while the photo below shows her improvement after the following session. You can see how the nerves in her arms became less obvious after treatment. As an earlier intervention began, numbness arms and head issue settled in a fast manner. The most important thing is she is still healthy.

Pre Stroke Case of a Youth

Another youth who was at the mid of 20 years old also faced the same scenario. He managed to come in time. After the acupuncture session, he was bleeding as the needle was extracted out. However, it was saved and he did not strike with the side effect of stroke at all. He went to the general hospital in the afternoon for checking. He was fine and was not admitted.

Some pre‑stroke cases present with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, numbness in the fingers, numbness in the face, or numbness in the leg. However, these are not definitive indicators of a pre‑stroke. There are also cases that occur without any of these symptoms.

Stroke Cases

Most stroke patients suffer from paralysis on one side of the body. Among them, some cases are complicated by Bell’s palsy, patients arriving in wheelchairs, patients who are not fully conscious, unable to speak, or simultaneously struggling with conditions such as diabetes.

They are fortunate to have loved ones who bring them to the clinic. Of course, some patients recover, while others give up. Needless to say, one‑sided paralysis requires not only acupuncture treatment but also physiotherapy. Recovery involves cost, time, dietary adjustments, and — most importantly — loving caretakers with patience to accompany and support them. The patient’s own desire to stand up again is equally vital.

⚠️ Important Note: For stroke patients with half‑sided paralysis, recovery becomes very difficult if they cannot attend acupuncture sessions consistently, fail to maintain dietary care with herbal prescriptions, or lack proper physiotherapy. Without these combined efforts, standing up and regaining independence is often much harder.

One of my patients, an 80‑year‑old woman, was able to stand and walk again after three months. This was possible because her devoted daughter brought her for treatment four times a week.

Another patient, a 53‑year‑old former taxi driver, regained his ability to drive after about 20 sessions. His recovery was swift because he had a strong desire to stand up again. He practiced holding objects, getting out of bed, standing, and walking after acupuncture. By the 15th session, he was able to walk; by the 20th session, he was driving again.

Initially, many of these patients relied on diapers, caretakers to spoon‑feed them, and assistance with bathing. Caring for stroke or bedridden patients is never easy, but with persistence and support, recovery is possible. For patients with half‑sided paralysis, acupuncture often requires many needles at each session, so they need a great deal of courage to continue. Furthermore, the older the patient, the longer the recovery time required. Common symptoms include memory problems, difficulty speaking, a crooked mouth, stiffness in the arm or fingers, uncontrollable urination, inability to sleep at night, and difficulty sitting up or lifting the legs. With timely intervention, many of these symptoms can be adjusted and improved.

Reflection – Prevention is Better than Cure

We must always remind ourselves: “Prevention is better than cure.” Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is essential. None of us want to depend on others to take care of us. We want to walk on our own, and enjoy the sun and stars shining in the sky every day.

At this point, I need to emphasize something deeply important: if you have never taken care of the sick, you will never truly understand the feeling of helplessness — when even getting a simple cup of water becomes an impossible task. Before illness strikes, we must first learn to help ourselves.

This is why prevention, persistence, and love matter so deeply. Health is not only about treatment, but also about cherishing independence, protecting dignity, and sustaining the strength to live each day fully.

Numbness Cases

I have handled many numbness cases over the years. These include one‑sided or both‑sided numbness in the arms or legs, fingertips or palms, the bottom or top of the feet, head numbness, numbness in the ribs, or even half‑sided numbness of the body. As always, earlier intervention brings better results.

Among these cases, the one that left the deepest impression on me were scalp or head numbness, numbness in the limbs due to diabetes, and numbness in the ribs, pre-stroke numbness, post-surgical numbness, common numbness, such as palm or finger or numbness arm .

Numbness in the Limbs

One patient in his 60s, a diabetic who had been taking medicine and controlling his diet for more than 10 years, came to me with severe numbness. Unlike other patients, his condition had worsened to involve his whole arms and legs, extending to the sciatic nerve and lower back.

He woke up every day at 6:30 a.m., but by 10 a.m. he was already exhausted and would fall asleep in his rocking chair. After checking, I explained that because of his diabetes, his numbness was serious and would require 3 to 6 months of treatment.

We spent 3 months balancing his body and restoring harmony. Gradually, he improved — he no longer fell asleep in his rocking chair in the mornings. Instead, he was happy trimming his plants, doing house chores, spending time with his children, and meeting friends. By the end of November, his condition had stabilized, and the numbness was completely gone. He told me he was preparing Christmas presents for an orphanage and an old folks’ home. That was the last month we met.

Special Case: Numbness in the Hand

Another case that left a deep impression was a patient with head numbness who had undergone surgery. A man in his mid‑30s came to me because of difficulty in movement after surgery. He explained that he could no longer work in his oil‑palm plantation because he lacked ease in movement.

The month before, he had been advised to undergo brain tumor surgery for a 4 cm tumor, in hopes of resolving his hand numbness. I asked him whether the numbness had been settled. He replied no. I then asked if he still wanted to solve the numbness issue. He replied yes.

After the first acupuncture session, his numbness was reduced immediately. He continued with several more sessions in the following days. His numbness was resolved, and his movements became easier. By the next week, he was able to return to work.

Pre Stroke Numbness:

These cases are getting common nowadays. Usually, the issue is not complicated in an earlier stage. It only grows bigger when the issue is left unattended. For younger age of groups, numbness arm sometimes taken up more than 6 sessions. The frequency of continuous treatment does matter. Again, individual vary.

The recent case in 2026, this year was a lady with numbness arm in late 30s. After reading her pulse and finalized that it’s a pre stroke numbness, she came once to twice a week. It took about 9 sessions (in between there was CNY holidays, therefore she continued the sessions after holidays). For numbness issue like this the best effect is to do it 3 times a week or 5 days a week. It saves the time and giving you the best effect.

🌿 Pre‑Stroke Numbness: Why Early Action Matters

  • Common but manageable: Numbness in the arms or head is becoming more frequent, especially in younger adults.

  • Early stage = easier recovery: When treated promptly, the issue usually requires fewer sessions.

  • Consistency is key: Coming 3 times a week or even daily brings faster, stronger results compared to once or twice weekly.

  • Real case example on above mentioned: A lady in her late 30s needed 9 sessions to recover, but with denser scheduling, improvement could have come sooner.

  • Takeaway: Don’t wait. Early, frequent treatment saves time and helps prevent complications such as bed paralysis, stroke.

Post‑surgical numbness on hand

A friend of mine, from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah came to visit me many years ago. After first acupuncture session, the numbness was reduced by half. He felt amazed. By the 2nd session on the following day, only slight numbness remained in the finger tips. This numbness issue was fully resolved using 3 sessions. He went home with no lingering symptoms. Again, as a reminder: different individual and numbness cases vary.

🟢 Key takeaway for patients:

  • Recovery speed depends on age, health condition, type of surgery, and how early treatment begins.

  • Some may improve in just a few sessions, while others need longer, more consistent care.

  • The principle remains: early and continuous intervention gives the best chance of full recovery.

Hearing Fluid inside the head

She was a 33‑year‑old mother diagnosed with stage 1 nasal cancer. By the time she first came to us, she had already completed chemotherapy and several rounds of radiotherapy. She was preparing for a follow‑up check‑up the following month.

During that period, she experienced a troubling symptom: whenever she lay down or woke up, she could hear fluid moving inside her head. Despite finishing her hospital treatments, she could not get rid of this sensation. According to her, the doctor was considering surgery to remove the fluid, pending confirmation after her next check‑up.

Her cousin brought her to our clinic. Because she was young and her condition was at an early stage, acupuncture intervention did not require many sessions. The treatment helped her body naturally drain the fluid, and she no longer needed surgery.

✨ Note: Every patient’s condition is unique. While some cases respond quickly, others may require more sessions. Early and consistent intervention often brings the best results.

Nasal Blockage Symptoms:

  • Unable to breath properly

  • nose blockage all the time

  • scenario getting worse when lying down at night

  • heavy head every morning

  • dry cough non-stop when worsen (non-stop means: the cough was continuously every now and then)

This is my son. This photo was taken during the last holiday at Desaru Minizoo.

Nasal Blockage Cases

My Son’s Case

Among all nasal blockage issues, the most serious patient I encountered was my own son when he was 8 years old. Like many children, he loved ice‑cream, fruits, and cold drinks. It was difficult to stop him from eating ice‑cream or drinking cold beverages. Things worsened when he continued eating cold fruits and ice‑cream every day for a week.

I brought him to several doctors and even a well‑known ENT specialist, while also trying to give him prescriptions. In fact, it was not easy to ask a child to take Chinese tonic. Even after seeing specialists, his condition did not improve. He felt stressed when the doctor asked him to use nasal spray 2–3 times daily. After taking medicine, his throat was always filled with phlegm, and soon he developed a dry cough.

When I asked if he wanted to try acupuncture, he refused because he was afraid of needles. So I did not treat him. Until one day, his school teacher complained. After the MCO period, schools advised parents not to send sick children, including those with cough or flu. The day‑care center also asked me not to send him. The teacher thought I had not taken him to see a doctor. I explained that he had already seen more than three doctors, including ENT specialists, and was still under medication.

As the situation worsened, my son began to feel stressed about going to school. Can you imagine the endless dry coughing he endured? Even one of my clinic patients witnessed how serious it was when my son was absent from school due to the cough. Later, she also saw with her own eyes how much he improved after treatment.

Finally, I had no choice but to treat him with acupuncture. I performed the treatment while he was asleep. After a few sessions, he improved significantly, and eventually he recovered. Today, in 2026, he is 11 years old and has not faced the same issue again. He still loves ice‑cream, fast food, milk tea, and fruits. Occasionally, I hear him with a “heavy nose” early in the morning, but it clears quickly and does not trouble him like before.

Nasal Blockage Patient with “Heavy Head”

Another patient described having a “heavy head and nose” every day. He could not taste food properly because his nose was always “out of service.” Worse still, he constantly felt heaviness in his head.

I used 10 sessions to adjust his condition back to normal. After completing the sessions, he described his head as feeling “conscious” and always in the mode of being “awake.”

Endless Phlegm

A patient in his late 60s asked me: “Why does the phlegm never come to an end?” He had undergone full body check‑ups, including CT scans and MRI, while staying in the hospital. He suffered from phlegm, cough, poor appetite, and acid reflux.

I used acupuncture and herbal prescriptions to bring his body back into a balanced state. After the first few sessions, his phlegm reduced, nocturia and sleep improved, and his appetite increased from “could not eat” to “eating a few spoons.” Later, he was able to walk on his own instead of relying on a wheelchair.

Treatment Duration for Nasal Blockage and Other Conditions

For certain issues like nasal blockage, about 10 sessions are usually enough to bring the condition back to balance.

However, for patients who have other underlying health issues, treatment often requires more than 10 sessions. Recovery time also varies depending on age and the strength of the body system.

👉 Key message for patients:

  • Earlier intervention brings faster results.

  • Consistency in treatment is important.

  • Age, lifestyle, and overall health affect recovery speed.

Migraine patient

Headache and numbness hand Patient

Video content conversation

What issues were you having? headache and numbness hand

How many times of treatment sessions did you undergo? 3 times

Can you tell us where are you from? I’m from Limbang, Sarawak.

Frequent Headache or Migraine

🌿 Types of Headache Pain

  • Forehead pain: A tight, pressing ache across the front of the head.

  • Top of head pain: A heavy or throbbing sensation felt at the crown.

  • Frequent or daily pain: Recurring discomfort that affects daily life.

  • 24‑hour pain: Persistent pain that doesn’t go away, even with rest.

  • Migraine: Severe, often one‑sided pain that can last for hours, sometimes making patients cry or roll in bed. May come with nausea, light sensitivity, or visual disturbances.

✨ Patient‑friendly note: Headaches vary from person to person. Some are short and sharp, others last all day. Migraines can be so intense that patients feel helpless for hours. Early treatment and consistent care often make a big difference.

Among all cases, my deepest impression was a guy with whole body tattoo on his back. Indeed, he was a patient of my late father many years ago. He had suffered migraines for years, despite seeing many specialists and trying different medical care. The pain was so intense that he would sit aside with tears rolling down for hours. With less than 10 acupuncture sessions combined with Chinese herbal prescription, his migraine issue was resolved. This case left a deep impression because of both his unique appearance and the dramatic relief he experienced.

Other types of special case: post-surgery on brain

There was a young local, Muslim lady in early 30s. Her migraine was not resolved after a surgery. Her migraine issue was resolved after a few sessions. As a reminder, individual vary.

👉 Key message for patients:

  • Earlier intervention brings faster results.

  • Consistency in treatment is important.

  • Age, lifestyle, and overall health affect recovery speed.

Sciatica patient

Frozen Arm patient

Sciatic Nerve Pain (Sciatica )

These are common pain that may be caused by wrong posture, post-labour strain, nerve issues. The pain running from the lower back through the hips, buttocks, and down each leg. Similar to other cases, an earlier intervention of treatment, the better effect you will gain. Usually, the patient could not lift up one of their legs or either they felt tight when lifting up one side of their legs. Usually, the issues can be resolved in 10 sessions. There was also exceptional cases which due to post-labour strain many years ago.

🌿 Frozen Arm (Frozen Shoulder)

What it is: Frozen arm is a condition where the shoulder joint becomes stiff and painful, limiting movement. Patients often describe it as the arm feeling “locked” or “frozen.”

Why it happens:

  • Wrong posture over long periods.

  • Weakness in the arm (common among chefs and those in their 50s or above).

  • Post‑surgery recovery.

  • Underlying conditions such as diabetes or nerve issues.

Impact on daily life: Frozen arm can make simple tasks — cooking, dressing, or even combing hair — very difficult. Without treatment, stiffness may last for months or even years.

Treatment response:

  • Many patients feel pain relief after the first intervention.

  • Continuous treatment helps resolve stiffness and restore mobility.

  • It usually does not take many sessions unless the condition has persisted for a long time (such as more than a month or even a year or more).

Special observation: One of the most significant cases involved a patient whose frozen arm had lasted for more than a year. To adapt to the pain, she unconsciously adjusted her shoulder and neck posture, causing them to appear “slanting” to one side. Over time, this compensation made her shoulder and neck visibly tilted.

Acupuncture treatment combined with tailored Chinese herbal support was used, as the condition had already affected her sleep and movement. Her issue was resolved in just four sessions.

✨ Note for patients: Early treatment prevents long‑term posture changes. Each case is unique — some recover quickly, while others need more sessions. Consistency and timely care are key.

Special cases: In some situations, “frozen arm” pain may actually be radiating pain caused by other underlying issues. These cases need to be carefully assessed and may require referral to a specialist.

🌿 Acid Reflux

Acid reflux doesn’t always happen at the same time for everyone. Some feel it in the morning after coffee, others at night after dinner, and many notice it when lying down before sleep. It depends on your body, your meals, and your daily routine. Usually, they always need to be extra cautious when taking meal. If they taking a wrong food, such as spicy food, they would end up ill for the entire day.

I remember, the patient whom having acid reflux described that when getting into slept, he couldn’t even move to left or right. When lying down, gravity no longer helps keep stomach acid in place. For some patients, even small movements to the left or right can cause acid to rise into the esophagus, leading to burping, burning, or regurgitation. That’s why the patient felt he had to “stick still” — his body was trying to avoid triggering reflux by staying perfectly flat and motionless.

Some of them besides acid reflux, simultaneously they were having headache. It is really common among the youths. For serious patient, they also encounter improper sleep. It made them feeling restless and tired, affecting energy and their focus.

Photos from left to right showing the cysts of a diabetic patient, about 10 sessions were taken (non-surgery). Fluid coming out from the cysts during the first week of treatments.

Symptoms of this patient

  • diabetes

  • pain on the cyst

  • low appetite, bloating, nausea

  • shoulder pain on left

  • weak

  • tingling/numbness feet

  • Cysts

Cysts common occur in many part of our body. Most cysts are non-cancerous, however they can be precancerous. Cyst, shoulder pain, numbness, appetite are adjusted back. Instead of undergoing a surgery to remove the cyst, he received acupuncture sessions. He is a diabetic patient, who is under medication from hospital.
